It’s one of the biggest decisions the Conservatives will ever make, and Magnify PR has played a central part in helping the Party arrive at a verdict.
The Race To Lead – a debate between leadership hopefuls Robert Jenrick and Kemi Badenoch – was broadcast by our client GB News last week.
Working on behalf of GB News, the Magnify PR team:
- Oversaw media accreditation for the event.
- Managed a spin-room of national UK journalists ensuring they had all they needed to report on the event.
- Produced and distributed six press releases about the main news highlights from the event – which were all sent within an hour of it ending to thousands of journalists across the UK.
- Circulated a library of exclusive images showing all the on-stage and back-stage action.
- Distributed an edited 12,000 word transcript of the debate to journalists within 90 minutes of the event ending.
Magnify PR founder Nick Owens, a former Sunday Mirror journalist, said: “The leadership debate was a pivotal moment for our client, GB News, and the PR and communications needed to be of a level that matched the standard of the broadcast itself. I’m hugely proud of the Magnify PR team. Thanks to their press releases the event received blanket coverage in all UK national newspapers and appeared in more than 700 websites across the UK.”
